LAC Debate Programs

I currently compete in a regional high school forensics league (team policy and parliamentary) and am interested in continuing at the college level. Does anyone have more information about strong forensics programs at liberal arts colleges? What events are common?

On a more technical note, my league strongly discourages “spreading” (speed-reading) in debate rounds. I know that the practice is widespread in most leagues . . . is this also true for college? Are there leagues/formats that discourage it?

There’s lots of info about college debate programs online such as this list:

[List of College Policy Debate Programs](http://www.wcdebate.com/7others/list-of-policy-colleges.htm)

I’m from a policy, spreading background and know that it’s still common, but I’m sure you could find a program where you’d be happy at the college level. Good luck!
