“If the media were so “liberally biased,” how come we heard about Clinton / Lewinsky, about all the hoopla around Obama’s connection to Ayers (which turned out to be transient and of little significance)? A “liberally biased media” would have shut those controversies down.”

who covered Ayers besides FOX?..The answer is none The Messiah got a free pass…and now we will pay for it…the guy is an empty suit.

[William C. Ayers News - The New York Times](<a href=“William C. Ayers - The New York Times”>William C. Ayers - The New York Times)

geeps, are you kidding me? Who covered Ayers? Well, if you lived here in Chicago, and watched the local media outlets, and read the Chicago Tribune, you almost wouldn’t have known there was any other election going on, other than for president. It became tiresome, and yes, I also saw many, many stories on other national news channels. It was also fodder for late night television. And… I consider the Chicago Tribune a conservative media outlet; otherwise it wouldn’t have been such big news that they endorsed a Democrat for president after all these years in print. However, I’m sure there are those who think the Trib is too liberal. Why? Because it’s a relative term.

I digress… I answered your question as plainly as I could, but no response from you. If you cannot define what ‘pushing a liberal agenda is’, then no one can help you here. It is a RELATIVE term. However, we can speculate what you mean, but that does a disservice to your intended question. And again, I will answer your original question by saying no four-year institution (less the Bob Jones, Liberty, etc) can guarantee you that your child will not experience faculty who hold liberal views. It’s sad if you think there is some sort of conspiracy at 98% of our colleges where boards and presidents outright seek to hire only those who will push a liberal agenda. Academia doesn’t work that way.

Frankly, I’m believing the poster who suggested this is ■■■■■■■■.

believe what you want…I now find it ridiculous that you and a few others don’t understand my original question…don’t worry. I don’t need your answer, I 've received quite a few PMs that explained things quite well.

I would say you and a few others are the ones ■■■■■■■■…unless you just have a hard time with the English language.

geeps, your question was totally obvious to me, apparently not to others.

I think that NE LACs tend to be a more liberal environment on the whole (faculty, student body, etc.). I am in a HS where liberal doctrine is unquestioned, and I’m sure there are conservative counterparts somewhere. It is NOT enjoyable, and beliefs are NOT challenged as long as they conform to the norm. College I’m sure is more mind-opening, but it does not sound like a worthwhile risk in your case.

Yup, not worth the risk. Homeschool or Liberty; those seem your best options.

owlice…why don’t you just can it…you are obviously clueless

Ah, geeps, geeps, geeps. You asked a question, you got an answer. That you don’t like the answer is a pity, but perhaps you should have allowed for that possibility when you asked the question.

This thread should be moved…to the ■■■■■■■■ subforum.

Didn’t like the answer? Huh…I just wanted honest opinions…I’m sorry it was too difficult for some to understand…yet others had no trouble at all with the question and didn’t need it explained a zillion times.

My kid is also looking at Boston U, U Connecticut and UMASS. He is gay and completely out. These schools make being welcoming a centerpiece of their enviroment.

They also have have high academic standards making the odds very low of a student finding a professor willing to subject their entire class to a time sucking student who wants to whine about “all sides” not being given equal time about, say, global warming.

pugmadkate - I also noticed that Syracuse was on the list. Wow, was all I could say. Way, way off, and I can say this as D1 graduated there last May.

And please don’t send me PMs whipping me with a wet noodle, but D told me, after the end of her freshman year, that the guys at Syracuse just are not husband material. And my D is fairly liberal, with some moderate fiscal tendencies.

all I can say is WOW…reading comprehension a huge problem for some apparently.

geeps, considering that most of us have asked you to describe what pushing a liberal agenda would entail, because it’s a relative term, and you won’t give us any guidelines, perhaps baelor can illuminate us, since we don’t get it.

Do you not understand that your idea of what constitutes a liberal agenda could be completely different than 75% of the posters on CC. You have to define the problem in ways that all understand before people can offer their insight; otherwise, you may be asking what color the wall is, but unless you define which wall you’re looking at, you could get answers that make no sense to anyone.

you guys are insane…like you really can’t comprehend what “pushing a liberal agenda” is? come on…seriously.

You can stop now…my question has been answered

on with your lives…

so what is the answer to your question?

There’s a somewhat related thread on the search forum that is a nice unicorn chaser for this thread.

The OP there asked

Ahh…I feel much, much better now. :)

There are those of us who would settle for it being explained just once. Which you have repeatedly ducked the opportunity to do.

The problem is that you are either intellectually lazy or intellectually dishonest or both. You want to just slap a label on it and be done.
