LAC/Small School Recommendation Welcome

I just have a question if anyone has a college that fits this description. I’ve finished applying to all my schools yet I have a feeling I’m forgetting a small college that has good financial aid and where I would be slightly above the regular stats to be eligible for merit aid. I would love a college that has an outdoorsy vibe, small class sizes, and excellent study abroad programs.

I have a 3.7/4.0 1970/2000 Superscore
Eagle Scout, Biotech President, NHS Officer, Rotary Short Term Study Abroad, Hospital volunteer 150 hrs. and some others insignificant ecs.

I’ve applied to: Pitt, OSU, Colorado College(number 1 choice), UDenver, Vanderbilt, American, OU, and MSU.

Suggestions would be much appreciated I just thought it would be nice to hear from schools that are usually harder to find out about, and put an ease to my mind that I’m not missing a “perfect fit” college. Thanks so much!

Did you consider Whitman College (Walla Walla, WA)?
Check out its “Semester in the West” program.

Do OSU, OU, MSU mean Oregon State, University of Oregon, and Montana State respectively? If so, I’m assuming you live in the West which means that you’d be WUE eligible
What’s the exact amount your family can afford? A $50k a year school could give you 1/2 tutition but it would still be unaffordable if your family can only afford $5k a year.

Some schools where you’d likely qualify for merit aid, or have a relatively low COA, with an outdoorsy vibe
-University of Puget Sound
-St. Lawrence University
-University of Wyoming
-Evergreen State
-Northern Arizona
-SUNY ESF (also has the added bonus of being affiliated with Syracuse so you get a small outdoorsy school and a medium sized university)
-Sewanee: University of the South
-Warren Wilson
-Ithaca College
-Gonzaga University
-Marist College
-Gustavus Adolphus College (possibly)
-Allegheny College
-Eckerd College
-St. Michael’s College
-UNC-Ashville

Remember, the vast majority of colleges, even schools like NYU, will have outdoors clubs and they’ll typically be fairly popular.

Sorry I should have made it more clear, I’m from Ohio so I’ve applied to Ohio State, Ohio University, and Michigan State University. We’re looking at the COA of around 25k ultimately. Thank you so much for the list of schools I really appreciate the help I’ll make sure to take a look at all of them!

Dickinson. Also second the Whitman suggestion.

Well then, you might want to cross off Evergreen State and NAU.
University of Wyoming will give you guaranteed merit scholarship of about $6,000 per year, bringing the total COA down to about $22,000 a year (including increased travel expenses, since Laramie is so isolated). The school itself only has about 10,000 undergrads, and you’d be eligible for its honors program ([About | Honors Program | University of Wyoming](<a href=“404 - Page Not Found”>404 - Page Not Found) ) which gives you priority registration, a benefit that if you enroll, you’ll tremendously appreciate.
