<p>Top business schools don’t care particularly where you did your undergraduate degree or in what field-unlike other grad schools, they are much more interested in your work experience and leadership potential. Did you start a company? Are you a member of senior management at your non-profit? Are you a star at your company/organization? Will you inherit your family business? Are you the governor’s daughter and therefore very well-connected? Are you recognized professionally for your excellence in music/art/sports and you now what to move into the business side of that industry? </p>
<p>It’s nice that you graduated from Williams at the top of your class, but if you can’t demonstrate outstanding leadership and a significant level of achievement in the 3-7 years since you left school, a top business school will not be interested in you.</p>
