Lacking on EC's suggestions?

I'm in my junior year of highschool, and I can't think of much that I would put on my extra curriculars next year, or achievments for that matter. The only thing I can really think of is that I love going out to the shooting range, and have entered (and won) many shooting competitions. I haven't done any community service or volunteering yet, but I'm thinking of volunteering at the challenger space center next to my school as a tour guide (students do it all the time). I figure this could be interesting and help my presentation skills as well. I tutor some people in math and science classes... That's it though, nothing else. If I get a job soon, then I might add that. This summer, I'm interested in attending a summer program at either a top university, or more likely to University of Arizona (I live in Arizona). I already signed up for my senior classes, and made it so I have three each semester. Usually it is advised to take four and two, considering that scholarships are completed after first semester. I, however, plan to take some engineering or chemistry courses at a community college that year. Also, I do not belong to any clubs on campus, mainly because I don't find any of them interesting. The science club does nothing but recycle, and when I joined to make some suggestions, the teacher who leads it told me she doesn't want to change anything about it! I'm thinking of starting a math club with the help of my calculus teacher.

Reading through all of these threads, I keep hearing how all these people have billions of different activities that they take part in. As you can tell, I have almost none. Any suggestions? I won't do anything solely for the sake of putting it on my application.

BTW, I already read the opening post of

-Econ/Gov H
-College Prep English H

I really messed up freshmen year, and my unweighed gpa will be 3.45 at the end of this semester and by the end of this year 3.54
By the end of senior year, I have potential to have up to 3.7 if all goes well. My class rank will be around 25-50/529
I don't know if any of that helps.

It sounds like you have more ECs than you think. You've got some noteworthy stuff there. Not saying you shouldn't add some, because generally you can never have too many but it's not like you have nothing.

You've got really solid classes and that's generally the most important factor in the whole college search. EC's just help to distinguish you. I'm no admissions officer, but I think a whole mess of EC's really isn't that impressive. Admissions people aren't computers that add up all your activities, if you've got one that's really cool and in depth then they will respect that. Shooting sounds pretty unique, I would keep at it, that way you can continue what you like doing. Good luck man.
