I have been interested in financials since a young age and have been investing real and hypothetically for a few years. </p>
<p>Granted my stats aren’t very good, in fact, they aren’t good at all. My AP test scores from this year were both 3’s. </p>
<p>Now, here’s my list. I don’t want to go to a private school and go into debt, but if the private school was generous with financial aid it might be another story. My parents make low 6 figures. </p>
<p>My goal is to go to the most prestigious school I can get into. </p>
<p>My career path is intended to be Investment Banking or along the lines of asset management. Maybe a financial analyst for a big firm. </p>
<p>I have a few schools, does anyone have any ideas of other schools I should look at? What do you think my chances are at these schools? How would you rate them? Just anything really…</p>

<p>Isn’t there a program at UH called GEMI? Does anyone know more about it in terms of validity/prestige? Maybe that can be the ticket in the door to I-Banking. </p>
<p>Your stats are subpar, but your potential is there. Maybe you didn’t try that hard in HS? I give my ranking of your schools like this;</p>
<p>Maybe someone will shed more light onto GEMI, as well as other programs. Look into UMinnesota…the out of state tuition rate is going down this yr.</p>

You weren’t pretentious sounding. I knew exactly what you meant, and I would have worded it just like you. Of course you want to get into the most prestigious school you are qualified for. Nothing wrong with that.</p>
<p>Your stats are a bit low, but you have aspirations. That is more important.</p>
<p>Finance is not a field I’m familiar with, but I would google on USWNR to see what colleges have high-ranking finance departments, and go down the list and see which ones admit students with your stats.</p>
<p>I’m still smarting over that crack that poster made about ‘wow’. Don’t pay attention to your detractors. People see you caring, they will pile on top of you.</p>
<p>I doubt you have much chance at Wisconsin which is easily the best school on the list. You might look at Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Mizzu and similar.</p>
