I am in search of a concealer that is the crayon type but is skinny like the slim lipsticks. Ulta used to have one in their store brand, but of course it is discontinued and they have gone to the goo with sponge-tip applicator. This is similar to the Maybelline Cover Stick concealer but slim–perfect for the inner corners of my eyes. I have not conducted an extensive search, so I am hoping one exists out there somewhere. Does anyone know of a brand that carries one like this?

Don’t you just hate it when you find a make-up that you love and they discontinue it?

If you can’t find one and end up desperate, there’s a couple of companies who can recreate what you had if you have a small sample. I can’t remember the name off the top of my head, but if you Google you can find it. It’s pretty pricey though.

L’Oreal makes one like this [L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer Fair/Light Neutral Ulta.com - Cosmetics, Fragrance, Salon and Beauty Gifts](http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod4960077) that I had good experiences with, but I’ve since switched to a MAC liquid concealer

Avon has one. I used to use it and I just checked-it is still sold. But my sister who used to be a cosmetologist told me a trick that I use now-I use my regular foundation and one of those pointy sponges to dab it where I need it. Because you’re dabbing and not blending it in it covers more than it does as foundation. But the Avon stick is very good.

keepingitlight, yes, I really hate it when they discontinue stuff. I have been using the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation since it came out many years ago and one time told the girl at the counter I would jump off a bridge if they ever discontinue it. LOL She said it is the best seller in the whole cosmetic department so it is not likely to be discontinued. Whew.

Thanks, soccergurl and sseamom, I will check those out. The Avon one looks a lot like the Ulta one, except the Ulta one had a round tip like the L’Oreal one.

I like Smashbox concealer - it’s pigment dense and it doesn’t gravitate. The range of colors is quite good. It’s difficult to tell in the photo, but it comes in a small, narrow tube.

Gourmetmom, that concealer works good. How do you figure out which shade to buy? Is there a guide someplace?

If I need to choose a cosmetic color, I go to the website for the particular brand. It’s not as good as testing it in a store, but usually it works out OK. Then I order from wherever, often vitacost.
MyChelle dermaceutical concealor cream is also a stick. On Amazon.com, it is less expensive and better rated than the smashbox one. I have never used it, but I do use the MyChelle blush stick. Love it.

If I have to choose color, I always go to the store to try it out whenever possible. I’ve had some nasty color experiences when I didn’t!

I am very careful with concealer. A few years ago, I forgot my own when on a family visit. My sister gave me an unused Loreal concealer that she swears by. I have to say…it was fabulous, matched perfectly and was easy to apply UNTIL my eyes became all puffy and inflamed. Went to the doctor, took Benedryl and stopped using it. Took about a week for it to improve. I went back to my Clinique concealer.

Foundation/tinted moisturizer shades always have to be matched at the cosmetics counter, but concealers are a little more forgiving. I’m medium fair complexion/blue eyes/dark blonde hair/burn then tan skin and I wear #3 medium vanilla, which covers to match as a corrector. If you have any doubts, though, you should probably try it in person. The Smashbox site gives more color detail:

I like the avon concealer. [AVON - Product](http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?pf_id=43812&cel_id=concealer|P_Ideal%20Flawless%20Concealer%20Stick)

I use the Smashbox product too. I also love the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. I use the color correcting one because I have rosacea.
