Phisoderm once daily in the shower (morning or evening) and a cold water gentle wash cloth with no product at the other end of the day. Retin-A twice weekly. Very little makeup, good diet, plenty of rest and exercise. Sunscreen or a hat with a big brim on days when I am outdoors for more a few minutes.

I use Neutrogena in the morning and Clinique liquid soap at night. I find the Clinique soap to be very refreshing. I also use Clinique extra-mild astringent (the cloudy kind) and the yellow lotion. And I use Pond’s cold cream to take off my eye makeup. I just bought a new jar yesterday! I have very fair combination skin and rosacea.

Clinique pump soap, morning and night. Clinique moisturizer with SPF and something else clinique at night. When I was younger I used Ivory for years, and dermatologist told me many years ago that Dove was as good as anything. My mom has MANY wrinkles and I figure I need all the help I can get. I didn’t use moisturizer much until maybe my mid-forties, but now I use it every day.

My best friend has the most beautiful skin I’ve ever seen. Her routine: Cetaphil cleanser, am & pm, Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturizer with SPF during the day (warning: not cheap), St. Ives Timeless Skin Moisturizer Collagen Elastin at night (very cheap, like $5 for 10 oz.). Also, she applies sunscreen to every part of her body that is exposed to the sun, every day. Plus, she gave me the greatest wrinkle prevention advice EVER: Train yourself to sleep on your back. I recently discovered that my aunt with gorgeous, virtually line-free skin has done so her whole life.

Btw, I love when these types of threads appear on CC. We could call this one “Collagen Confidential.” (-;

^^^Perfect!

Water and no soap in the shower in the morning. Oil of Olay moisturizer with sunblock every day. That’s it.

Only wash my face at night and use the Clairisonic Mia brush. I use Olay Regenerist products, the heavier night cream at night and the daytime moisturizer with sunscreen in the morning.

I think being fair skinned has turned out to be good for me. I never spent a lot of time sunbathing as I didn’t get a great tan anyway. Always wore sunblock so I wouldn’t burn. Now I am 56 and get compliments on my skin.

I always wondered about sleeping on the face. I had major breast surgery and the very worst part was sleeping on my back. Guess I’ll have to live with the wrinkles. I sleep on the right side only, but my wrinkles are evenly distributed as to side so maybe this isn’t it?

I think sunscreen is very important but I also think genetics are a very large part of who has beautiful skin.

Night cream (Elizabeth Arden) at night and Clinique moisture surge in the AM. In the morning before I apply new moisturizer I do a swipe with a cotton ball and a toner (Burts Bees) to clean off any residue. A couple times a week I scrub my face in the shower with St. Ives apricot scrub. I’m thinking about a Clarisonic for Christmas…

Another cetaphil devotee. Whenever i switch to something else I regret it. I have such sensitive skin I can’t use any scrubs, but I do find the cleanser doesn’t remove make up. I’ve been using jojoba oil for that which works fine.

I use this Paula’s Choice cleanser: [Skin Recovery Cleanser - Cleansers: Paula’s Choice Skincare & Cosmetics](<a href=“Paula's Choice”>CLINICAL Ultra-Rich Moisturizer | Paula's Choice)

It’s gentle, cleans well and moisturizes.

Oil of Olay facial cloths…

What sunscreen do you use?

I have been using the Avene product. My dermatologist prescribed it to me few years ago, but now I am able to get it at Duane Reade or online. I like the face wash and firming cream.

Confession - I use a lot of different things on my face. I do facial regularly, sleep on my back, put 2-3 different creams on my face both morning and evening. I am also lucky to have good genes.

I’ve tried a few of the cleansers noted here but have oily/combination skin and many cleansers either make me break out or leave my face feeling like it has a coating on it. I’d love to hear what cleansers people use specifically for skin that is oily/combination skin.

I do like Paula’s Choice cleanser but it doesn’t take off all my (neutrogena) foundation and I just bought an olay cleanser which is ok but I do feel like it leaves a bit of a coating on my face so I’m still in search of the perfect cleanser too.

I think the BareMinerals foaming cleanser takes everything off.

Genetics plays a large part. My parents were Mediterranean so we’re blessed with olive skin that doesn’t wrinkle. Dad was 90 when he passed and not a wrinkle on his face.

I have used Dove forever. My mom always used Ponds to cleanse her face.

When I take a bath (I adore baths), I do squirt a small bit of Baby Oil into the running water. I think that helps my feet, ankles, knees, and elbows stay more moist.

I do think that a healthy diet which includes the colorful fruits and veggies gives your skin and eyes a better glow. I remember a Dr. Oz show where they had guests eat a lot of colorful foods for several days and the results were noticeable.

Confession time: I usually don’t wear make-up, and usually don’t wash my face at night. (If I do have on any make-up, I use a face cleansing wipe and small amount of moisturizer.) I use Neutrogena “Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser” in the shower, and once a week, Origins “Never a Dull Moment,” which is a super gentle scrub. As I’ve gotten older I find I need to be increasingly gentle with my skin.

I do have good genes, too, I think. One thing I’ve done since my early 20s is use an eye cream every morning. At my last HS reunion a couple years ago, H (who’s not much for compliments) said I looked WAY better/younger than so many of my classmates.

Even if you don’t wear makeup, the air itself deposits stuff on faces that you don’t want on your pillow or to build up on your face.

Many people seem to think that not wearing makeup is always a plus for your complexion. I wear very little makeup but both my dermatologist and my aesthestician told me that a good foundation actually protects your face from the elements and is better than bare skin. That’s assuming you wash it off every night and have no sensitivities to it.

I try to change it up a bit but at the moment I am a big fan of the Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser also. I do also like Aveeno. I use Neutrogena cream eye make-up remover but cannot always get that and I find the liquid too drying but I do use sometimes. Recent bought Ology facial cleanser wipes that I took on vacation and I really liked them. I had a facial a few months ago and I was told that exfoliating is the very best thing to do and so I do exfoliate with the product they recommended. I do use Dove Soap on my body in the shower and I also like a Trader Joe product, their citrus body wash. I do like Bare Minerals renew eye cream, haven’t used their facial cleanser. I also sometimes use Burts Bees Radiance serum… Lumene products are good ones too. I’ve never used Olay products…and years ago I also was a Pond’s cold cream user, as was my mother.
