i’m thinking about how to store my jewelry…idk the crime rate for stealing in dorms? but i have a wooden jewelry box w/ necklaces, bracelets, and rings. also, i have those earring holders that actually show the earrings hanging out of the mesh wires.

or should i just put them all in a cute box that doesn’t look like it holds jewelry?

I know I’m no lady but isn’t it pretty much up to you if you want to leave it out? I mean if you trust your roommates…go ahead, if not use a safe…who cares if it’s popular or not

ladies, i hope you are having a wonderful fantabulous summer
ladies, remember that push-up bras are man’s fabulous creation
ladies, don’t forget that you want to look your best
ladies, crest whitestrips are something you should all look into

Last year I had a friend who lived in Rieber Hall in the most popular room on our floor where there were at least a dozen+ random people in and out of there every single day. She had all of her earrings and necklaces displayed on this cute holder where anyone was capable of stealing them and no one ever did.

Of course, she was always the first person people thought of when they wanted to borrow jewerly…But that’s another story. ;)

Is there really nothing to worry about? I’m not taking any jewelry up except one and if it gets stolen it’ll break my heart. It’s expensive and was a personal gift from the head monk at the Thai temple I went to as child, he’s like a second father to me since mine died when I was 4. He actually refers to himself as my father. Anyway, he gave me a golden Buddha pendant and it’s on a $800 gold chain. I don’t like to wear it often because it has a Thai clasp that comes undone easily but I need to take it to UCLA with me b/c I have to chant with it twice a day…

Mm if you have something that valuable I think the reshalls have closets that you can put a lock on. At least that’s what I did last year when I went home for the weekend - I just stuck a combo lock on my closet =) Don’t know if every dorm has them though~

Basically it’s each end of the necklace has a little circle on it and what keeps it around your neck is a little gold ‘S’ shaped piece. You bend the gold of the S through and around the circles. This is how I lost a necklace at graduation. I had it on a lightweight chain and the gold S wasn’t tight enough so it fell off and I didn’t notice until I had done home T-T

fiddledd—my d was probably the one in Rieber with the cute jewelry holder. She didn’t lose a thing, not that any of it was that valuable. dawriting machine: Life’s too short to worry about every piece of jewelry anyway. unless it’s diamonds. plus she had two sweet roommates.
