So the pantiliners that I’ve been using ever since my periods began, kotex, have changed into kotex u and I have found that these have a little less padding which makes a huge difference in protection… I don’t know what else is good or where to begin in what to try… Any recommendations?

Carefree? Always?

I don’t use pantyliners, so I’m unsure about the protection, but the girls I know use these brands.

You can also get samples and try them out.

Always has pretty consistent quality as far as absorption and stickiness go.

(71 views… I wonder how many guys peeked and ran as fast as they could
)

Ha ha, @BunsenBurner. While I’m not a guy, I peeked and wondered, hmm…very few people are going to get past the first post, we could talk about most anything here.

Lol, Busdriver. Was it Always that had a slogan, “Have a happy period”?

On a more serious note. Discharge that requires constant use of liners between periods could be due to a bacterial infection. It is NOT an STD:

<a href=“Bacterial Vaginosis (BV): Symptoms, Causes, Diagnosis, Treatment, Prevention, Complications”>Bacterial Vaginosis (BV): Symptoms, Causes, Diagnosis, Treatment, Prevention, Complications;

If you suspect something is off, it is always a good idea to talk to your doctor, get tested (bacterial cultures), and if needed, get antibiotics.

It’s only for during not inbetween. But thanks for the recommendations

Pantiliners & Politics? ;))

Daughter uses Always, I think it is called extra protection liners.

It sounds like I should check out Always too. Carefree has gone the same route as what you have found with Kotex – very thin with what appears to be less protection.

Ha Ha! Yeah, any time we want to have a secret thread, we post a menstruation thread and make sure the whole first page is on topic. Then starting at page 2, we’re on. :D

Watch TV- psst- SAM. According to the ad it’s the greatest thing since… I wouldn’t know since had parts removed years ago.

I just gotta tell this story. S1 went to horse camp when he was about 9. It was miserably hot the day we picked him up and the kids put on a show for us. As we were walking together to the stables, I asked S1 what that thing was falling out of his helmut. He said “Mom, these are the greatest things ever. They stick right in your helmet so it makes it fit good and they keep the sweat from getting on your face” Yup…there on the shelf in the stables was a giant box of Kotex maxi pads!

jaw drops

Per #11, the OR I work at uses maxi pads cut in half to apply to the outside of dressings to catch any fluid which escapes the primary dressing.

:)

kajon, smart horse camp counselors. The camp where I works stocks them in first aid kids for applying pressure to bleeding wounds. Might as well demystify them for the male and pre pubescent part of the population.

Exactly - it is just an absorbent pad!

Oh, the disappointed look on the face of the guy who opened this thread eagerly anticipating “DS caught DH and me ******* in the pantry!”

I’ll confess to handing S a maxi pad for a bloody nose when he was little. I was out of tissues.

You couldn’t have given him a tampon?

“Pantiliners & Politics?”

Oh yeah, I like it! I’ll bet it could be a really messy thread.

“Ha Ha! Yeah, any time we want to have a secret thread, we post a menstruation thread and make sure the whole first page is on topic. Then starting at page 2, we’re on.”

Oh no, don’t tell, @Nrdsb4. Should have waited till page 2!
