she took a visit to the NYY clubhouse

Plenty of them do. But for some reason, people don’t talk about those videos as much.

“Due to questionable behavior as reported in the New York Post, Gaga was said to be “banned” from the Yankees clubhouse after infuriating club executive killjoy Hal Steinbrenner on Friday night.”

“Clothed up top in a half-buttoned, bra-exposing Yankees jersey, with fishnet stockings and bikini bottom down low, Lady went gaga over the Yankees while deep within their sanctum.”

Yep, Lady Gaga seems to be a “Piece of Art”. Probably a “Piece of Perversion and Trashy behavior” is a better description for just “gaga”. Yep, dragging society down…and mocking a US sport.

Mocking religion is one thing…but now she’s mocking baseball? Now she’s gone too far!

Greenery, this isn’t the first time you’ve thrown the word “perversion” around. Please define.

I think being mocked by Gaga is a sign that the mockee is taking itself too seriously.

Hunt, thank you for the chuckle. You often make me smile and I appreciate that! :)

Lady Goofball.

An artist does not have to be a perfect citizen to create unique and valuable art. I’ve actually heard, but don’t quote me, some might be quite eccentric.

Do you check the newspapers stories for all the artists at those galleries, too, to make sure they’re model citizens? We don’t know which of them are crashing locker rooms at the World Cup, do we?

What I got from this story is that the Yankees – the players, that is – were perfectly glad to see her, and more than willing to chat her up. The only “problem” was that Yankees management deemed this inappropriate after a loss, when the players are supposed to be acting like they are upset and psyching themselves up to do better tomorrow. Even management is perfectly fine with her showing up in the locker room to burnish their brand with her particular glitter, as long as it is after a win.

Lady Gaga seems not to have been mocking anything (unless it was herself), just acting like the NYC celebrity she is.

“Greenery, this isn’t the first time you’ve thrown the word “perversion” around. Please define.”

Yes, I am fascinated as well…what exactly do you mean by perversion?

“So I guess you don’t visit any art museums, because a lot of them have pieces that you would probably deem as having been created by a twisted mind.”

Now, now. Pablo Picasso may have had a twisted mind, but he was never called an ***hole.

Jonathan Richman still rocks my world.

And I guess he was never in the NYY locker room, either. The question is, would he have been a Yankees fan or a Mets fan?

He was a Cubby fan and died of a broken heart.

no response at to what in the video is “perverted”

So, I’m just going to assumed that it’s the Moe haircuts and Male Spanx panties.

Musicamusica, I think Jonathan Richman would have been a Boston Red Sox fan!

oh yah…Jonathan went with the Red Sox, but I used to see Pablo at Wrigley Field all the time (incognito with baseball cap pulled over his sad bald head)

My 21 year old D doesn’t care for Lady Gaga at all, but I am thinking she may appreciate the NYU clip! That’s more her style …

My 18 year old S thinks Lady Gaga is awesome. He appreciates the fact that she writes her own music, and he thinks the songs/vocals are great. This from the kid who “only” likes metal.

As for me … I think she is a very talented young lady who felt that being over the top was the best way to be heard. Unfortunately, talent has little to do with stardom these days. I often cringe when I hear “stars” perform live. Auto tune is popular - who needs to be able to sing well? Blonde hair, big breasts, skinny girls packed into short dresses … this is what sells. So Lady Gaga wants to sell records, because she loves to perform. She is not conventionally pretty. How to achieve her dream? Be d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t. And she sure is!

I saw her interviewed on a late night talk show. I liked her a lot. I like some of her music. I appreciate her business sense, that’s for sure.

I finally saw the “Alejandro” video. My reaction is that it is primarily warmed-over Madonna–sort of a mash-up of “Like A Prayer” and “Vogue,” with some “Evita” thrown in. She is even made up like Madonna. My other reaction is that although it’s overtly sexual, I don’t find it (or Gaga) to be very sexy at all. I think the “Bad Romance” video is a lot more interesting. As for “Telephone,” I think the only really daring thing is that in addition to poisoning all the people, they also poison the dog!
The song (Alejandro) is OK–kind of a mix of Madonna and Abba.
