D didn’t think there was lip-syncing but I thought it was. It was a very tasteful show anyway.
Absolutely amazing! Always had profound respect for her creativity and voice. It shattered the ceiling tonight. ^:)^
Even my parents in their 80s liked it so that’s a big endorsement.
I thought she was lip syncing up until she sand Million Reasons when she sounded winded.
ETA- She is an amazing talent.
She’s an amazing talent. Even my 30 year old son said she nailed it. But he is also an incredible musician. One recognizes another whether your musical genre is the same or not.
She is an awesome singer and performer. I enjoyed it even though I’m not a fan of grown ups wearing leotard/onsie style clothing. I guess it’s easier to perform in it … but then male performers should try it as well.
I skipped it to do dishes and I stand by that decision
I don’t like her, I never have, and I don’t understand why people think she’s talented. But that’s what makes the world great; everybody likes different things.
She has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard.
H, who has sung before audiences, did not think she was lip syncing. I saw Britney Spears in concert and she admittedly lip syncs because her dancing and gyrations are so wild. Gaga stopped singing when she was moving at points where the dancing and movement was more than moderate. I read an interview with her voice coach in which he says that she doesn’t lip sync. I don’t think that an interview like that would have been put out if she did lip sync because it created a challenge.
I thought this show was so much better than Beyonce’s.
I also thought that beginning the show with archetypal American songs was a brilliant move. By singing This Land is Your Land, Gaga did make a political commentary but without being overt or offensive about it. I also liked that she worked in a country song because she was in Texas.
I will say that my 20 year old son, a big country fan, asked why Tony Bennett hadn’t sung at least one song with her.
On another note, I thought that Luke Bryan, with whom I was unfamiliar before this, did a very nice job on the National Anthem.
Her voice and vocal range is one of the best in the business. Some may not like her style or her songs, but her vocal talent is undeniable.
I must have been watching a different half time because there are times when Lady Gaga vocals are distinctly heard yet the visual of the singer shows her with the mic away from her mouth and/or her lips forming different words. I’m not saying the entire performance was pre-recorded but parts were augmented. A YouTube video is up already of one example.
She announced last week that she wouldn not lip sync.
Yalie. I wish I could wear the leotard onesie as well as Lady Gaga. It’s called a one piece bathing suit with much more covering.
In Anerica, we see them a lot skimpier on our beaches and in clubs.
So please, there was nothing more revealing than a trip to the park!
I don’t particularly like her, but I don’t see how you can’t acknowledge her talent. Technically speaking, she has a very good voice; it’s strong, has good range, is on pitch, etc.
She was fantastic. It’s not my kind of music, but to say she isn’t talented is just plain wrong.
It was entertaining. I didn’t care for her costumes/outfits.
No super bowl half time will ever surpass Prince being Prince in heels during a driving rainstorm. RIP The Purple One.
@“Yalie 2011” - she looked fine in her body suits. She is only 30. She doesnt need to wear spanx and mumus.
@morrismm I didn’t think of it as revealing or skimpy, just iffy taste and it’s been already overdone by other performers. I guess it’s a matter of personal taste.
She’s got muscle and she is not starving to look good.
