We’ll be visiting our sons in San Francisco over Thanksgiving and thinking of spending a few days renting a cabin/condo near Lake Tahoe over the holiday. Which area would you recommend for that time of year? Ideally it wouldn’t be too far from some grocery stores and restaurants, but also somewhere picturesque and near places to explore nature.
We love the Resort at Squaw Creek. They have suites with kitchenettes, a store on site and a couple of restaurants.
And it’s on the North Shore, which we prefer to South Shore (South Shore has all the casinos).
