Lakeside Seattle Acceptance

Hi, I’m trying to apply for Lakeside (I was going to apply to Overlake too but they sent me an email saying that they don’t accept international students anymore) I’m applying for 9th grade. I’m doing my SSAT December 8th and I haven’t really studied that much so right now I’m cramming everything but I also happened to have my Physics and Chemistry exam next week which is the same week as my SSAT so I’m pretty sure that I’ll do really bad on SSAT.

Some info to see if I have any chances at all as I’ll go to Mercer Island High if I don’t get in:
Me:
14
Chinese American
Piano (6 yrs of learning): IFA 2023 3rd place for Grade7 Abrsm, Merit for Grade7 and Grade8 exams, Currently doing diploma
Violin (0.5 year, just started a few months ago): N/A
Tennis (around 3 years but I took a two year break between): 4th in a small competition
Coding: Bebras UK Distinction (2023), This year idk the results haven’t been sent to my school yet
Math: UKMT gold (2023), UKMT bronze(2022) (not mentioning the bronze)
Public Speaking: LAMDA Grade3 Distinction (2023)
Literature: uhh 12.6k reads on my online work? top 5 in one tag ( I added that to my application)
French horn (1year): Brass band for a year
Choir (half a year): performed in school’s spring concert? (or summer)
Art: Gold in red packet design comp
Volunteering: volunteer for 2 years at a local restaurant to help elderly in hk, school also brought us to Thailand and Vietnam so I also have certificates from those, I also volunteered/worked for a day as a translator at a food festival
Mandarin: Fluent
French: Intermediate (cant mention languages, not included in Ravenna)
I don’t need TOEFL since I’m from an international school and I’m not worried about my teacher evaluations but my report cards aren’t that good this year. 1. My music teacher didn’t mark my assessments 2. Our history teacher isn’t our actual history teacher, he teaches latin but the school mixed them up. 3. The school used a different system this year, last year was NI, D, S, G, E this year is NI, D, S, G, M, M+. I’m in set1 for all my classes but I don’t know whether my teachers will mention it. Overall my report is good but I’m at a british school so I have no idea what my GPA is.
Also I’m very, very, very cooked for my SSAT. Plz give me tips, Lakeside is the only school I’m applying for. (PLZ RATE MY CHANCES) (Btw I didn’t submit my form yet because I talked to my school’s admissions for almost a month because the application process isn’t allowed in my school’s policy :0 )

Your writeup is quite hard to follow, but in the end, it’s very difficult to chance someone in your situation from Lakeside anyway. You seem to be a perfectly good student, but there aren’t going to be very many acceptances from international schools, and it’s really hard to translate what your grades are. Lakeside isn’t going to spend a lot of time translating your awards to US equivalents and really isn’t focused on that for applicants.

Your school would need to provide a very clear definition and generally be supportive of your application.

Do your best on the SSAT, continue to excel in your classes, and Mercer Island HS is also an excellent place where you would find a peer group.
