LAMP at IUB

Is anybody familiar with this program? Is this a degree that can be combined with a Business Degree from Kelley?

LAMP is an excellent program if your student has multiple interests–it’s not a degree program, rather a certificate program. It allows you get to get a certificate in a business program and earn your standard BS/BA in a College of Arts and Sciences degree. Think: LAMP certificate + biology/chemistry/premed.

During the course of the program, to earn the certificate you must:
-satisfy all of the general degree requirements (easy)
-maintain at least a 3.3 cumulative COAS GPA (not always easy)
-get a C- or higher in all of the LAMP required courses (<a href=“Indiana University Bloomington”>Indiana University Bloomington)

It can’t be combined with a business degree that I know of…

My daughter went through this program. She was a theatre major and had a merit scholarship. At graduation their ceremony exhibited a lot of excellent students, pre-med etc.It allows a Liberal Arts major to add core business classes. My daughter took accounting, a computer class, business law. There were also a trip to Chicago to Sotheby’s Art auction. I think this is a hidden gem of a program.
