I’m shocked that no one has commented about this. Am I the only one who is amazed by the ingenuity, determination and talent of these folks?

Well it’s been less than a day, and I don’t want to click random links at work. So there.

I saw this on FB a few days ago so it was old news for me. But it is fab.

I am always impressed with ingenuity and seeing “trash” repurposed in such a meaningful way, bringing music and beauty into a slum. Had never seen it before receiving the link last night.

Thanks for the link- very impressive.

Isn’t it amazing how they play? They are all in tune, great intonation. I saw it awhile ago and was impressed.

You can see and feel the genuine love for music and pride in their instruments which were obviously crafted with great love and ingenuity. I wonder what they would do if they had any of the amazing landfill lumber and other goodies often tossed in US landfills.

I showed it to Mr B this morning after he had made a dash to the curb with the garbage can trying not to miss the Waste Management truck. We make sure that only garbage goes into that small can. What can be recycled gets recycled, and what can be reused gets donated, but im sure we can still do better.

The most amazing part is the kids’ dedication and love of music.
