I’ve been looking at the language requirements and I’d really like to only have to take 2 terms of french. I took french 1-3 in high school though I wouldn’t say my french education was very strong. I just want to know what each level means (specifically Lvls 2 and 3 since I think that’s about where I lie) so I can figure out if I need to study. Thanks!

A good rule of thumb, I think, is that L1-L2 are Novice on the ACT-FL scale, L3-L4 are Intermediate, and L5 is Advanced. If you’ve not familiar with that scale, you can read up on descriptions of the different levels online and see where you think you fit.

In general, though, it’s not worth it to study for placement tests. Take the test, see where you end up.
