Language Placement. SAT without listening?

Looking at the breakdown AP score vs. SAT 2 score for placement for Spanish
It looks a lot easier to take an SAT2
but the only time listening is given is in November

Will they take a June sitting without listening?

They don’t “take” anything. Unless they changed the policy (which I don’t think they did) they recommend you take the SAT 2 or AP to simply see where you’re at. You don’t have to submit scores or anything. I never did, and was fine taking a hundred-level 1st semester of my freshman year. I have many friends who are taking a hundred-level either this year or next without ever having taken an SAT 2 or AP in the language. You don’t need to submit any scores. If you think you’re able to get past the cutoff, that’s good enough. I personally would recommend you to just take a practice AP/SAT 2 from the Princeton Review or something that you borrow from the library, see where you’re at, and save your money.

Agreed. You pretty much place yourself in the level you think you’re at. If its too high/low, you can always change it during the add/drop period at the beginning of the semester.
