<p>they cover vocabulary and grammar - they’re not that hard and not that big of a deal - you can take the level it places you into or you can take a higher or lower level course. the placement test is intended to give you an idea of what level seems appropriate for you</p>

<p>Yeah, the Russian one was RIDICULOUSLY easy. (And not just because I speak it - I happen to have ****-awful grammar and spelling) They just asked you to conjugate a few things by gender and then write a paragraph about yourself.</p>
