Language tests

Does anyone know if we can retake the language test? I was placed in Spanish 2 (a few points from 3). I didn’t take spanish my senior year so my skills were kinda rusty. I couldn’t get into spanish first quarter since it was full. I’m going to Costa Rica for a while this summer, so I’m sure that the trip will help revamp my skills. Do you think that Davis will let me take the test again and try to place differently for spanish for the 2nd quarter? Thanks!

They said at SA that the language tests were the easiest to schedule.

I took the Spanish test too, and I’m pretty sure they emphasized that we could only take the test once.

inpltcly i think that you’re thinking of the english test.

i looked it up in the book and it said that you don’t even have to take a test to be placed, they just recommend the test if you don’t know which class to take.

No, I asked the people at the center; you can only take it once. And yes, you have to take the test to be placed in a higher Spanish level if you don’t have AP credits. I took the test even after getting a “4” on the AP just to verify that I indeed should be in Spanish 21.

Hm, thats so weird that they have contradicting information. Thanks though for responding. I’m sure that screwed over a few people; I can think of someone right now.
