Laptop calender program

Parent here who is not great with computers.

Is there an app or program where the calender can populate the screen everytime you turn on the laptop? So when you turn on the laptop you always see the calender first. Also be able to synch up with a cel phone.

if so, how do you do it?

thanks in advance

If internet connection is never going to be an issue then I just recommend google calendar as the homepage for whatever browser you use.

Google calendar works great. You always need internet though.

Windows 7 has a built in calendar app. Search “desktop gadgets” in the menu and open that. The calendar app should be the 1st one. It stays on your desktop and automatically loads up when you start your computer You don’t need internet for it so it’s good.

If your child’s on a Mac, they come with iCal, a great calendar program. It can sync with Google Calendar (or other web calendars), as well as an iPod touch or iPhone.

Building up on the iCal, you can full screen it on osx lion. So it will take up the whole screen

However you need a Mac using osx lion.
