laptop dilemma

okay i know you’re probably all sick of laptop questions…BELIEVE me, i’ve searched the forum numerous times and am still confused.

i’m going to be heading off to college in less than a month and will be buying a laptop…probably about 15inch screen with a built-in webcam. it also should be relatively light, as i’ll be carrying it around.

my school has a special discount for apple&dell, but those dont have built-in webcams…and asus (which does) is cheaper here in taiwan where i live, but i don’t want it in chinese (which is what they have).

any suggestions?

are you sure there are no macs with built in webcams…why do you need it anyway??? you can buy a separate webcam and just buy a computer from you school when you get to there, especially if you don’t want it in chinese.

Try the laptop reviews forums. They have much more knowledge then any of us

The macbook and macbook pro both have built in webcams…but in terms of laptop features, that’s pretty minor- the sony SZ series has one too, but what do you really need it for? You can only video chat with people who also have one, and this is a pretty new thing for laptops.

All Macbooks and Macbook pros have webcams, standard feature.

As UVMLauren and futurenyustudent just noted, both the MacBook Pro and MacBook have webcams. And if you’re looking at 15 inch laptops, I’d check out the MacBook Pro, that’s what I have and it’s extremely light for a 15 incher at only 5.6 pounds.
