Laptop Requirements for Engineering Students at Rice University

<p>Hi there,
Trying to reach out to seniors at Rice University who are Engineering Students, or their parents. What laptop would you recommend and the system req’s for an Eng. Student to run CAD? My son is looking at the Lenovo. He had picked one out and we are almost ready to order, but it is the ThinkPad. Was just told by a friend that the ThinkPad is more for adults in a career. Any advice?</p>

<p>Thinkpad is more like business class. It is more durable. If you are looking at Lenovo, do check out their outlet for refurbished ones with full warranty. You may be surprised with some deals that come and go every second.</p>
