Laptop Suggestions

Hi Parents, I have a favor to ask of you.

So before I head off to college, I would like to buy my mom a laptop. She’s not computer savvy at all and is just going to use it to surf the web, use word, and upload photos, nothing fancy. My only requirements is a large screen (14 inch or bigger), anti-glare coating (hopefully), and light weight (around 5 or 6 pounds). I tried suggesting she get a netbook but she wants a larger screen because her eyesight is getting worse. I was wondering if some of you have any suggestions? My budget is around 700ish dollars. Thank you. :)

I’m not all that savvy either. Can you add an external monitor to a netbook?
My laptop is in a docking station with external monitor, mouse and keyboard.

I’ve thought of that but my mom is going to move around a lot (as in between continents) in the next few years. Hauling around a monitor doesn’t seem very practical. Plus, I have a feeling that she wouldn’t know where the cords would go, even though they’re color coded, that’s how unsavvy she is.
