Laptop Use in Class at Cornell?

In high school, no one used a laptop; not because it was forbidden or there was no point in a laptop but just because nobody wanted to be the only one with a laptop bc it ould look weird. I tried it once and it was totally awkward.

In college, I’m totally hooked and have completely stopped using pen and paper. I type so much faster and my notes are so much neater. Everyone used one though and it was perfectly fine if not expected.

Now that I’m transferring to Cornell, what’s laptop usage like up there during class? I heard that in big classes its fine but not in small classes, but that doesn’t sound right.

I know it sounds like I’m being too self-conscious but I’m just curious.

I used my laptop all the time in larger classes, as do many other students. The smallest class I ever used it in was a 45 person lecture.

I didn’t use it in my smaller classes…
