laptop vs pc

what are your thoughts? laptop or pc? which is better for college?

laptop with external mouse… no question about it

ohhvancat…

explanation would be helpful

a laptop is better because its portable i.e. don’t have to depend on the computer lab being open, etc…

Also better because it takes up much less space than a desktop

It depends if you’re used to using a laptop… I’m always on a laptop so the keyboard/screen/mouse issues that irritate people do not bother me. Also, save everything on a memory stick so if the thing trashes itself(has happened twice to me) you’ve got your stuff. And, don’t be on the cheap on the screen— your eyes will thank you in the long run.

i would have my own computer and printer in my room. i think its an advantage because when i typed something, i would have a printer right there. a laptop wouldnt always have a printer. having my own computer, i wouldnt have to wait, same with laptop. laptops can go anywhere, but the batteries only last 2-3 hours. i still dont know.

The printer issue really isn’t an issue if you have a good network setup… ours are on a wireless network(the kind you can get from best buy for like $150) and when you click print, it sends it to a printer in the other room and it prints. As for the battery life- they all suck! Some advertise that they get hours and hours out of a battery but none are really that great. My advice, plug it in.
