Larry and Kate Plus 9!

<p>So I’m watching Oprah (guilty pleasure) and a man named Larry has 9 children, most of which are adopted. His wife (ironically named Kate!) passed away leaving him a single father, yet he still manages with no help. They are all school aged (the oldest a Sophomore at ND and the youngest in kindergarten). </p>

<p>He wakes up every morning at 3 a.m. He makes coffee and gets ready. He makes a schedule of where each of them have to be during the day (all of them are engaged in various ECs). He wakes them up in shifts. The oldest group wakes up at 6:15 because their bus comes early. When they leave, the second group is woken up. He also puts in a full day at the office, every day.</p>

<p>He deserves the money that Kate (Gosselin) is getting on her sympathy tour.</p>

<p>You have no idea how relieved I am that this thread was NOT about that Kate hooking up with some guy named Larry and producing a 9th asset - um, child. I don’t watch Oprah, so I missed the show. How sad to think about such a good man losing his wife, especially with young children.</p>

<p>There are many people in this country with large families who have chosen to raise their children without the sight if video cameras in the home. Actually it has been going on since the beginning of time.</p>

<p>I saw the headline and thought Kate plus eight was getting together with Larry King!! LOL! So happy to hear about a nice, normal guy.</p>

<p>Why does he wake up at 3 a.m.?! Sheesh - if the older kids don’t need to be out until 6:15, he should rack another two hours.</p>
