i agree, penn can go either way, they must get several hundred people with similar distinctions as you its a reach for almost anyone…
good luck though :)

oh and also, on a sidenote, from reading around on these forums as well as interviews with admissions officers, ive heard that theyd rather have a shorter list of EC’s with only the things u really cared about and spent a lot of time with, than a long list with everything… i was thinking of stuff like the yearbook, but im an international student, dont know how much work and ‘prestige’ is in it so :)

anyway, good luck! youve done really well and you deserve to get in where you want :)

Thanks everyone for replying. Very helpful…even thought I posted this on the wrong message board woops

About the GPA, it’s a 4.0 scale, and you can get 5.0 for As in APs and IBs, which can only be taken Junior and Senior year.
Basically, It comes out that if you take all IBs and APs 11th and 12th grade (which isn’t even possible because of the way our school schedules certain classes, ie. some classes are divided over 2 years), with straight As, you could have a 4.5.

Thanks Again . And i hope I answered your question gbraves :)
