I have submitted my SAT score to all but one of my OOS schools. I couldn’t decide on what the last one should be. I am looking for something between a safety and a Match (I have an 1820 and a 3.48 UW, 3.8 W). The rest of the schools I’m applying to are big city, large, public, academic party schools with relatively strong polisci programs, good sports, good Extra Curricular oppertunity and all that good stuff. I was leaning towards Michigan State for the last slot, but upon looking at some poli-sci rankings for one last time decided I should do look into two other schools before I made my decision (and I look to make sure the schools are reputable, not to think of it as the be-all-end-all of where the best education is). Indiana and CU-Boulder caught my eye. I have started to look into it, and I like some of IU’s Programs a lot, as I do with Michigan State. Also my best friend will likely be headed to Boulder when we chart our own paths, and I will definately talk over the prospect with him(the only other school we are both applying to is Washington, which seems to be a reach for both of us.) Where should I give my last app to?

Indiana and CU-Boulder caught my eye.

I think these are both good choices (MSU also is a nice school). If you haven’t ever been to Boulder, CO it is one of the more picturesque towns in the US, and a school that you have a good shot at getting accepted to. There are a lot of OOS students there. Indiana, however, would be the safer of the two schools, imo, but you did say a combination match/safety school right? I think you should also apply to UW. I wouldn’t be too concerned about the quality of poly-sci depts. at any of these schools.

UW- Maddison or UW- Seattle? (I’m applying to both, anyways)

and does any one else have anything to add?

IU would fit your list for everything except city. The town on Bloomington, however, is a great college town.
