Last minute AP Cramming miracles

Any stories? Preferably self study.

Make me feel a little less nervous?

Somehow?

please :)

I would like some miracle stories too, I am planning to cram for APES, AP Psych, AP Econ, and AP Comp Gov

So there I was—it was the day before the AP Lunch exam and I didn’t know a thing!

Luckily, I had a mom and a refrigerator at my disposal.

Nine hours and 300 pounds later, I was taking the test and loving it. Needless to say, I got a 6.

Uh it wasn’t self-study, but I only started reviewing for the AP Euro exam the weekend before and got a 4… though that’s below average by CC standards. :P

But the exam was on a Friday, so I had a whole week.

Friend’s brother got a 2 on an APUSH practice test one month before the actual exam.

Studies hard, goes on to be the only person in his class to get a 5. He’s at Drexel 7-yr now.

Well, at the time I didn’t know it was cramming (It was my first year taking AP - sophomore year - and I assumed I could study the same way that I would for a normal exam, and it worked). I looked through a AP Euro book (AP Achiever, I believe it was. It was reallyyy good!) starting 2 days before the exam and I ended up with a 5 :P. Mind you, I’m more historically inclined, and I paid attention throughout the year.
I also studied for AP Stats all day the Sunday and Saturday before the exam (the exam was on Monday) and I got a 4. (Every test in that class was cumulative, so it was nbd for me to study like that. Although as my score suggests, AP Stats was not my subject :P).
This was all last year (2010)

ETA: Oh wait, self-study? You’re screwed. Hahaha. jk jk… but really, you kinda are. Good luck! I wish you the best

I essentially self-studied AP Comp Gov the week before the exam. I got home at 3:30 pm every day, cracked open Ethel Wood’s guide, and didn’t stop till 1:00 am or later. It was a pain, but it was worth it; I got a 5.

^ lmao thats what im doing

Lawl.

So the week before Physics C, I knew very little physics. The morning of the exam, I pulled out a practice book and did some problems. By the time of the exam I knew barely any more physics than I had previously but pulled off a 5 on both exams. (:D)

Which goes to show that the curve for AP Physics is set waaaaaaaaay too low.

I thought studying for the AP exam a week before the actual date was normal … Until I came into the world of CC. For AP Psych I just studied during my April vacation (barely) and really really crammed during the last day before the test. I got a 5. But then again, AP Psych is probably the easiest AP exam/class there is.

Don’t know what to expect for AP Bio … Oh boy. Pure memorization.

I had to go to ISEF the week before I took my 2 self-study late AP exams. I didn’t get to study AT ALL at ISEF. I had only skimmed the material before…so I studied the night b4 for psych and enviro…

Got 5’s on both

Studied for AP Gov and AP Microeconomics the day before each test. 5 on gov, 4 on econ if I recall correctly.

Edit: Whoops, didn’t see the self study. I took each class, but at our school, AP Gov and AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics are one semester classes, so I forgot a lot about AP government (the class I had first semester), but remembered more from AP Microeconomics. And I was wrong, I got a 5 on microecon and a 4 on AP gov. Anyway, keep in mind that the curve is very gracious. When I took the gov test, I think a 70% was almost a guaranteed 5? Depends on how well everyone does this year, of course, but the curve tends to be fairly nice.

I’m not starting to study for the AP calc exam until after my IB exams are over. My last IB exam is on the 13th, calc is the 19th. I’m not sure how long it will take to recover from HL history…

We will see how that turns out… :P

Not self-study, but last year I did the absolute minimum in APUSH (junior year’s tough! I basically gave up) and used the REA Crash Course book starting the weekend before the exam and ended up with a 5. I consider myself pretty smart, but at least for APUSH and the lang and lit exams, cramming is definitely possible.

what srsly?? but did u take ap psych before? like is it reli straightforward? cuz i self-studied n there’ s just tooo many things to rmb so du u rmb stuff selectively? plz help cuz i am so desperate…

I’m not okay with such last-minute studying, so I spend the time and effort to go through prep books in advance and get good scores. Props to all of you who are able to get 5s on last-minute cramming. @leafblade1354 So jealous…

My friend spent spring break studying AP Bio along with taking Honors Bio and got a 5.

Not self study, but for US and World my teacher didn’t teach so i read the review book the days before the tests and got 4’s. Same with Psych. Got a 5.
