Last minute help: Metaphorical poem

Firstly, hello, all of you! And Happy New Year.

Now, the question. I understand that the poem is supposed to convey who you are. I have done such in my poem in a rather lyrical way: for example, I made an analogy from moving from Brazil to the US as if I added stars to a flag (23, more exactly). To what extent do you think such short answer may hurt or help? I just can’t feel right writing a completely literal poem, as if I was writing a normal paragraph with random hard returns!

Feedback would be dearly appreciated as well!

Thanks a lot in advance.

Just write whatever you want. That’s how you really show who you are.

Do you think the poem is gonna be considered that highly? I’m not really a poem writing type person.
