Last minute tip for SAT

i just want some key tips for each section of the SAT.

Just study.

Reading:
-There is always a right answer for each question. And the answer must fit the questions exactly.
Writing:
If there is nothing wrong with the sentence, don’t be afraid to do no error. About 3-4 no errors in each test.
Math:
-The questions(even the hardest ones) are never tedious or messy. There is always a trick. Look for it.

Any other reading tricks?

The ones I know are:
Stay away from extreme answers (but they should still be checked)
For “most nearly means” questions, plug each answer in and see if it makes sense
Put brackets around line references in the passage
Write down what you think about the passage after reading it before you start answering questions
Broad answers are more likely the answer

^ No “Write down what you think about the passage after reading it before you start answering questions.” It simply takes too much time and takes time away from actually doing the questions.

“There is always a right answer for each question” is true, but often times the answers come from a few words or minute details in the passage that can be easily skipped over.

The best advice for sentence completion would be: know the words, skim through the sentence, plug in the words, select the most logical combination, and move on. There is no need to do in-depth analysis of each sentence and its structure. If you don’t know the words, use POE.

For CR reading, make sure to KNOW WHY you select a certain response.

Not write down what you think as a summary…
Just simple notes like
“Says old art is good”
or
“Fiercely defends SETI”
etc.

It especially helps for passage comparison.

Before the test: drink a coffee or cup of tea, sleep well, don’t arrive at the last minute; you don’t want a hectic morning

During (well, do this tomorrow)

Math: memorize basic formulas, find a formula sheet online (ex: special right triangles, sequence formulas, theorems, etc).

CR: google and memorize prefixes/suffixes, it’ll help you a lot with the sentence completion

Writing: learn basic grammar rules (ex. plurality vs. singularity, parallel sentence structure, english verb conjugations, etc)

How do i get less nervous during the SAT?

Just remember: you can always cancel and retake if things go astray.
