<p>After taking a few practice tests there are some questions that always give me trouble.
- There is a picture of a house/cottage/hut and the question asks what year and in what state was the photograph most likely taken. Obviously some answer choices can be easily eliminited but I am always left between two choices. Is there a way to study for these type of questions?
- The question asks you to note immigration trends in a certain time period. ie. Before 1700 most immigrant came from England. It is sometimes hard to find this information in textbooks and review books. Is there a resource that would help for this?
- and now a specific question: The years between 1914-1916 witnessed the migration of blacks to the north because…
I immediately assumed that the reason was that there were more jobs available due to young men going to fight the war. But that wasnt one of the choices. The correct answer was that immigration from Europe decreased during these years. My review books list the first reason and dont mention anything about immigration. Can anybody please clarify?
