Last orientation session

If you attend the last orientation session right before school starts for out of staters, is there any disadvantage as far as signing up for classes?

Not really. The registration system keeps opening up new slots in classes for each registration session. Freshman seminars, for example, each have two slots per session. Also, if you don’t get a course, don’t panic. The first week of school always involves a mad drop/add rush, so you can pretty much get into anything. If that doesn’t work, most of the time going to a class and talking with the professor will get you in.
