“Please write an essay (250-500 words) …” I chose this topic to do some explaining but it’s 787 characters. Feel free to be as harsh and critical as you can. I know I’m horrible with words.

So you probably want to know why this Asian got a D in Honors Trigonometry.
It wasn’t the teacher. The truth is that I procrastinated real bad on all levels. Im the quiet kid in class that does all her homework and I know its silly, but after one semester of being such I wasn’t sure if I could raise my hand any more. If I learned anything, its that it’s my hand.

Youre also probably wondering why the heck am I submitting this application that I started in November in March. The truth is that I was stuck in a very deep place and wasn’t planning to go to college. I planned on chilling with Jesus after graduation. But I learned I was not defined by letters, nor by the chipping mockery of other students and most importantly, I learned that Im a believer of second chances.

Uh. I may be wrong, but I think choosing to use your essay space to write about your bad grades and procrastination isn’t really the best idea. Have your GC explain why you got a D, but your essay’s supposed to tell colleges something interesting or personal about yourself. Also, you write about the fact that you procrastinated and all that, and how you believe in second chances, but you don’t really mention specifically how you have changed to deserve a second chance, which is, I think, pretty important.

Anyway, I proofread your thing for grammatical errors. Changes in (parentheses), removals in /brackets/:

So you probably want to know why this Asian got a “D “ in Honors Trigonometry.
It wasn’t the teacher ('s fault). The truth is that I procrastinated real(ly) bad(ly) on /all/ (every) level/s/. I’m the quiet kid in class that does all (of) her homework /and/ (.) (You just said you procrastinated really badly, how were you doing all of your homework?) I know it’s silly, but after one semester of being such (awkwardly worded; either reword the entire sentence, or at least change ‘such’ to ‘that way’) I wasn’t sure if I could raise my hand any more. If I learned anything, it’s that it’s my hand (???).

You’re also probably wondering why the heck am I submitting this application /that/ (,) (which) I started in November (,) in March. The truth is that I was stuck in a very deep place (elaborate here) and (I) wasn’t planning to go to college. I planned on chilling with Jesus after graduation (???). But I learned (that) I was not defined by letters, /n/or by the chipping mockery of other students (.) /and/ Most importantly, I learned that I’m a believer /of/ (in) second chances. (How did you learn that you believed in second chances?)
