Do colleges only print out apps submitted by 11:59 pm on Jan 1?

I’ve had pneumonia, and I’m finishing my apps now.

I’ve turned in some things.

Do you think it’ll be okay if I complete my apps by early morning today (Jan 2)?

Should I contact the admissions office right away and tell

them about my health problems, or wait and see if they’ve rejected my app?

Hate pneumonia.

E-mail the colleges now to let them know you’re recovering from pneumonia, which is why your app will be a bit late.

Then, take the time you need to submit a careful application.

Most college staffs aren’t even working this week. They won’t be back until Mon., and then will have hundreds or thousands of applications to go through. They also will be getting applications that were mailed to them, including those postmarked by today (Jan. 2.) since the post office is closed Jan. 1.

For most colleges, your applications’ arriving a few days late isn’t likely to be noticed or to make any difference in how it’s reviewed.

I would call the admissions office. But I think they would wonder why you didn’t start your apps earlier even with pneumonia but it is definitely worth a try.

Let us know how it goes when you call! ;)
