LATE orientation... bad for registering for classes?

my orientation’s beginning of august because all of them are full up until then. they start beginning of june, and end beginning of august…

does being one of the last people for orientation hurt my chances of registering for the classes i want? i’m afraid that all of the good classes will be filled up by then… or that a lot of the classes, not just the good ones, will be full by the time i get around to registering for classes.

They’re already filled up until August?! Dang. I guess it was a good thing that I registered last Friday because I was still able to get a session in June.

What!? I registered a couple of weeks ago and the earliest I could pick was mid July. Ugh.

It depends what academic unit you’re in. I’m in the RC, so I got a date in late June…I imagine the same is true for Honors etc. However, if you’re just regular old UM frosh, thing’s are probably a little tight.

Yes, a late registration does suck.

…and they try to herd all the late registratees that have any humanities interests into a history 266 (half the people I met in that class were there because an advisor told them to) because it ALWAYS has seats open. I would advise against it unless you want to work really hard.

Question…if you’re walking into UM with soph. standing, does that give any advantage in selecting classes for the fall term…maize…any thoughts…

Q #2…are you on facebook?..you seem interesting enough to look up…lol

Probably not on the soph standing. You register when you go for orientation, and when classes are full, you aren’t getting in.

No on the facebook - I have my name on there, but I never got into it (no picture or profile). I have 97 people who have “Friended me” and need confirmation, but I can’t remember my password to save my life now.
