Title says it all.

nope. they reserve a designated amount of spots in classes for each orientation group.

Read earlier discussions please people!

what if you don’t go to orientation at all? do they reserve spaces for each pass time?

I have heard from some current students that using the pass 2 registration time is actually better than using the orientation. It is possible that by skipping the orientation registration, and doing it yourself, it would give you more control over your actual schedule (day and times of classes). I would love to know if this is true, and may end up making a phone call to verify.

no you get complete control of what classes you want to take and what time you want to take them. nobody tells you anything. your advisor will say that registration’s open, and then you just add the classes you want at the times you want. keep in mind you need to be mega fast cuz classes fill up really quickly (this is the only factor i know of that will prevent anyone from getting the classes they want at the time they want).

Having the last orientation gives more spots for you to register into since they do not have to save any for other orientations. So taking that spot gives you a better chance of getting the classes you want.
