Any suggestions on the best way to get from Latrobe Airport to Pitt. Trying to avoid getting a rental car for 4 days and helping D find easiest way to travel later if she chooses Pitt. Going to Latrobe due to Spirit Airways under $100 round trip from Myrtle Beach to Pitt. Looked at Bus, but it would be about 3-4 hour wait after arrival. I’ve never used Uber. Is it reliable that far? Would there be a delay?
Are there any other options? May have to just get the car…
I’m not sure. Latrobe is an hour away from Pittsburgh.
Maybe once she is there she can find someone who is going that way to carpool for breaks, but for your visit you might have to get a rental car. Uber not sure if they come that far out of the city.
Did you try calling Latribe airport snd Pitt visit office for advice?
I’m local, and there is no perfect answer because of Latrobe’s location. I would recommend an uber from Latrobe to Greensburg, and then take the bus from Greensburg to Pitt(this bus should have more functioning hours than one based in Latrobe). Plus, Greensburg has some nice places to eat/shop if there is any wait! Hope this helps 
Good news from Myrtle Beach - Spirit will start flying directly to Pitt airport in May. That should help with transportation if D18 decides to end up at Pitt.
