Is it a disadvantage to send a list of EC’s along with the regular app?

if you need to clarify an extracurricular, especially if it is not common or if you did a lot of things with it, it could be a good idea to send in an extra list (i did). just don’t go overboard with a “laundry list” of every possible thing you can think of, like 9th place in the third grade spelling bee.

^^^ agreed! It is never wrong to send supplemental materials as long as they are significant but adcoms do get annoyed if you send them a list of every single club you have joined in high school even though you attending a meeting once.

u kno wats useful? sending in stuff that’s representative of the work you do and is easy on the eyes. e.g. i sent in the abstract to a major research project i had done, as well as a short dance resume (with illustrations!) and my admit officer actually commented that she enjoyed those as supplemental material.
