Lauren Bacall has died at 89

She was marvelous. So beautiful, so self-possessed, so capable with a wisecrack. With Bogart - perfection. I loved her in “The Big Sleep” (one of my favorite movies), “To Have and Have Not,” and “How To Marry a Millionaire.”

You know how to whistle, don’t you, Steve?

Yep! She was marvelous. I told my wife we should rewatch the Bogart-Bacall movies…

Beautiful woman. I enjoyed her autobiography.

I just heard. Sure wish they’d fix the date stamp here. This isn’t yesterday’s news

“You know how to whistle?..” So enjoyed her

Just the other day I caught part of “To Have and Have Not.” She positively sizzled.

:( She’s on a very short list of women I want to be when I grow up.

I like to remember she was always Betty, as in Betty Joan Perske from the Bronx. Lauren was the name used on the cast list but she was Betty. Read her autobiography. It’s good.

I saw her on Broadway in Applause a zillion years ago. She had star power, that’s for sure.

Beautiful, classy lady and a wonderful actress. Agree about her autobiography. Terrific read.

Saw her guest cameo appearance on a ‘Sopranos’ episode. She played herself at a Hollywood shendig that Christopher was trying to crash. One of her lines included some very salty language. Very funny and somehow elegant.
