The new year has been busy.

First, I need to say that I’m still horrified by the civilians that were killed and injured by a domestic terrorist in New Orleans. I’m glad there were many law enforcement officers that made the choice to run towards the danger and eliminate any further threat. Two of those officers were shot.

That’s a lot of stuff. Hope that’s not what we have to look forward to this year.

I’m sure a miss a lot of incidents. I only post the ones that pop up in my social media feeds.

I wish someone would compile a “law enforcement who were shot at” stat. That would be interesting to see.

The southern Indiana shooter is still at large and the Blue Alert in effect. A prayer vigil was held last evening for the deputy and a fund has been set up to help his family.

Working the road can be so dangerous. Being the “Crossroads of America” isn’t really an advantage when it comes to the amount of drugs ran through this state.
