Law School?

I graduated from bridgewater state universtiy. I majored in English and minored in criminal justice. I had a gpa of 3.1 and scored 155 on the LSAT. However, I have been volunteering at a Law Firm for the past couple years and could get a couple well known lawyers to write me letters of recommendation. I have also volunteered many hours at a hospice and i traveled to haiti to help with relief after the earthquake.

Chances at the following:

Notre Dame
University of Illinois
Wake Forest
George Mason
American University
Northeastern
University of South Carolina
University of Buffalo

For SCarolina and Buffalo, you are within middle 50% range and have good chance. For Northeastern you are just below or at the bottom of the middle 50% range and should consider it a reach. All the others you are well below middle 50% range particularly in LSAT (the most important factor) and you should consider them significant reaches. Working in a law firm, getting some lawyers to write rec letters, volunteering at a hospice and going to Haiti will be favorable factors but will not overcome an LSAT score that is well below the law school’s usual range.

yeah thats what i have heard. i was told that lsat was twice as important as your gpa and your gpa was twice as important as extras… do you know of any top tier schools in my range or am i reaching too high?
