I am wondering if there is any way to tell how close a dorm room is to the community baths. I have seen the floor plan for a dorm room in the building, but I can’t find a plan or layout of the entire building. Does anyone know where I might find one?

I highly doubt you will find one on the internet for security issues.

The only maps of layouts of rooms I have seen are the fire escape maps inside of rooms.

Which is why I wished I could find a copy of the fire escapes. I should take a picture of each of them and piece together my own map during the year.

^ how lame LOL

Oh come on, I just want to know where my dorm is. Like, near the end of the hall? Near a bathroom? A corner dorm? An unusually large/small room? Etc.

You’ll figure it out when you get there like everyone else.

And the fire escape maps are actually maps of the entire dorm building, if I am not mistaken in what I remember.

Rooms at the end of halls (end opposite of the entrance doors) are the best. Only one neighbor to deal with. Except thats where people go to talk on the phone which is annoying as hell.

If you are near the elevator (at kins there are rooms near elevators, not sure about others), also annoying.

Next to the bathroom or a trash room would suck a lot.

I suggest you let the exact location of your room be a surprise for you when you arrive, but if you really want to know, ask on the class of 2011 or class of 2012 facebook page or call the front desk of the dorm you will be living in. (You could call now if your fall dorm is open for the summer or call about eight days before school starts for dorms opening in the fall.)
