<p>Barely broke top half in rankings (somewhere like top 48% I think), with a 3.0 GPA (though I’ve had all A’s this year). No EC’s whatsoever (no job, one club). Only 1 AP, a few honors classes here and there (math and sciences). Highest score on SAT was 2010 (730 cr, 690 math, 590 wr).</p>
<p>Some other stats: minority (Asian though), first generation, single parent, low income. The application essay could turn out to be something decent, though wouldn’t count on it. Looking to major in physics or engineering.</p>
<p>Is the local flagship state school feasible (UT-Austin)? What kind of colleges would consider this applicant?</p>
