<p>Nope, it doesn’t have any special significance. I received the email for the leadership scholarship, as do most (all?) applicants, and I didn’t receive a receive a regents scholarship. Pretty sure all applicants to Berkeley receive it. And I highly doubt that the scholarship would reduce your need-based financial aid–it’s supposed to supplement it, not replace it.</p>
<p>It’s only about 2000 dollars anyway</p>
<p>The Leadership Award is from the Cal Alumni Association. It has no affiliation with admissions or any other campus scholarships.</p>
