Leadership

Is leadership a large factor in USC admissions? I feel my leadership credentials are very strong and I would like to know how much they can help me when applying to USC. For those who were accepted, did you have a lot of leadership roles in high school?

I only had one. Editor-in-Chief of school newspaper. That is a pretty good leadership role though.

i had really had no school curricilars besides a few clubs…and a couple years of basketball and i got in

Leadership helps you for scholarship but not too much for admission to the university.

i doubt that…leadership helps in any circumstance. that way they know you might continue the same type of leadership in college.

Leadership is HUGE at USC. USC students have good grades and GPA’s but it is also very common for them to be very active in leadership positions. From my high school, ASB officers (student government) go to USC every year. Be active in Key Club!

Also, for very active leaders, USC gives out leadership scholarships valued at $10,000 a year.
