I read in another thread with someone mentioning how you can’t get into Pomona without some sort of leadership position. How true is this?

First of all, welcome to CC!

As for your question, Pomona looks for both breadth and depth in applicants’ ECs. Depth comes in a number of forms - leadership, intensity, initiative. Example: your school lacks a student org that’s focused on one of your interests, so you decide to gather like-minded students to form such a group. Although that’s not leadership in terms of being the president of the group, you’ve demonstrated another form. Hope that helps.

And good luck!
