who else is convinced that this is the best popular song to hit the charts since ghetto superstar?

I’m listening to it right now online, and its pretty good. But better than Ghetto Superstar? I don’t know…

“Cholo” is derogatory in certain Spanish-speaking countries. Instead of being interpreted as “gangster” it actually means “peasant” to some people. So the song really doesn’t make any sense.

^Like most other songs these days…

I had always thought Cholo was the Latin equivalent of the N word until I heard that song.

I’m sorry but I have to disagree.

I believe “Lean like a cholo” sucks really, really bad. lol. It’s funny to find someone who loves it- just comes to show how many different tastes are out there. :)

It is. But just like the N word is used by some african americans in music to look “cool”, now the C word is been used by some hispanics in music to look “cool” as well.

Huh.

lean like a cholo…sucks…big time…i’d rather walk it out…

i don’t think it’s really “hitting the charts” considering it’s like, a year old.

Dude, I am mexican and I grew up in a mexican community. Cholo is like a thug and what not. You have to hear “Lean Like A Chola”
It is the best,

[YouTube - Lean Like A Chola](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlTRvY8V5Zo)

^ That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.

The song is more representative of a poser-latino gangster culture than real south american culture. I’m peruvian and in peru ‘cholo’ is used as a term to describe someones thats stupid or foolish.

well obviously mexican and peruvians see things as different.
