<p>What are the differences between these two LeapFrog products? It isn’t clear to me why the LeapPad2 costs around $60 more. It will be a 6th birthday present for my grandson who is struggling in Kindergarten. I figure I have to buy the recharger pack (Amazon at $35) and the Download Card too (Amazon at $15).</p>
<p>Leappad is way better it seems. Leappad is sort of supposed to be like a tablet. The Leapster is more like a handheld video game with a small screen and hand controls.</p>
<p>How about the Nabi 2 compared to the Leap Pad 2? The Nabi seems to offer free or inexpensive apps plus a larger screen for $100 more. I’ve read it will soon be Google Play compatible and that doesn’t mean much to me as I don’t own an ipad.</p>
